Privacy Policy
Long-term Investment ("the App", "we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy describes the data we collect, how we use and store it, the partners who assist us, and the choices available to you.
1. Data We Collect
- Investment Calculation Data: asset type (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tesla, Google), investment amount, investment period (years), investment type (single or recurring), and frequency (monthly or weekly). This data is sent to our server only for calculation purposes and is not stored permanently.
- Calculation Results: investment results including final value, yield rate, and CAGR are displayed locally on your device and can be shared via the share feature.
- Device & Diagnostics: basic device metadata, crash logs, and error reports collected via Firebase Crashlytics to maintain service quality and stability.
- Advertising: If AdMob is enabled, Google may collect an advertising identifier (IDFA/AAID) for ad delivery, fraud prevention, and analytics. This is used only when you interact with rewarded ads.
- Share Functionality: when you use the share feature, the app accesses your device's clipboard or native share dialog to share calculation results. We do not collect or store shared content.
2. How We Use Data
- Perform investment calculations based on historical price data and display results.
- Provide investment comparison features (single vs. recurring investments).
- Display rewarded advertisements to support the free service.
- Improve app stability and fix bugs through crash reports and diagnostics.
- Enable sharing of calculation results via clipboard or native share functionality.
3. Sharing & Processors
We do not sell personal data. We share information only with trusted processors necessary to operate the App:
- Vercel: hosts the API endpoints that perform investment calculations using historical price data from Yahoo Finance.
- Firebase (Google): Crashlytics service for crash reporting and error diagnostics to maintain service quality.
- Google AdMob: displays rewarded advertisements. Google may collect advertising identifiers and usage data according to their privacy policy.
- Yahoo Finance: provides historical price data for assets (accessed via our server, not directly from the app).
Investment calculation inputs are sent to our server only for the purpose of calculation and are not stored permanently. Results are displayed locally on your device.
4. Retention & Deletion
- Calculation Data: investment inputs are sent to our server for calculation but are not stored permanently. Each calculation is processed independently.
- Crash Logs: crash reports and diagnostics are retained according to Firebase Crashlytics default retention policies (typically up to 90 days) for service improvement purposes.
- Advertising Data: advertising identifiers and related data are managed by Google AdMob according to their privacy policy.
- Deletion requests: contact gunnylove@gmail.com and we will assist with any data deletion requests.
5. Your Rights
- You can use the app without providing any personal information. All calculation inputs are processed anonymously.
- Opt out of personalized ads via system settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Limit Ad Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).
- Disable crash reporting by uninstalling the app (though this will also disable all app functionality).

6. Children
The App is intended for general use. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by local law).
7. Security
We protect data with encrypted network connections (HTTPS), secure API endpoints, and industry-standard security practices. Investment calculation data is transmitted securely and not stored permanently on our servers.
