Privacy Policy
AI Video Frame Extract ("the App", "we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy describes the data we collect, how we use and store it, the partners who assist us, and the choices available to you.
1. Data We Collect
- Video Files: videos you select from your device's gallery or file system are processed locally on your device. Videos are never uploaded to our servers. Frame extraction and image saving are performed entirely on your device.
- Extracted Frames: frames extracted from videos are saved to your device's photo library or file system as you choose. We do not access or store these images.
- Device & Diagnostics: basic device metadata, crash logs, and error reports collected via Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics to maintain service quality and stability.
- Advertising: If AdMob is enabled, Google may collect an advertising identifier (IDFA/AAID) for ad delivery, fraud prevention, and analytics. This is used only when you interact with rewarded ads before saving or sharing frames.
- Share Functionality: when you use the share feature, the app accesses your device's native share dialog to share extracted frame images. We do not collect or store shared content.
- App Settings: image format preferences (JPEG, PNG, HEIF), quality settings, and metadata preferences are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences.
2. How We Use Data
- Extract frames from videos you select and save them as images to your device.
- Display rewarded advertisements to support the free service (before saving or sharing frames).
- Improve app stability and fix bugs through crash reports and diagnostics.
- Enable sharing of extracted frame images via native share functionality.
- Load advertising configuration from our server to display appropriate ads.
3. Sharing & Processors
We do not sell personal data. We share information only with trusted processors necessary to operate the App:
- Vercel: hosts the API endpoints that provide advertising configuration settings. No video or image data is sent to our server.
- Firebase (Google): Crashlytics and Analytics services for crash reporting, error diagnostics, and usage analytics to maintain service quality.
- Google AdMob: displays rewarded advertisements. Google may collect advertising identifiers and usage data according to their privacy policy.
Your videos and extracted frames are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted to our servers or third parties.
4. Retention & Deletion
- Video Files: videos you select are accessed only temporarily for frame extraction and are not stored by the app.
- Extracted Frames: frames you save are stored in your device's photo library or file system, which you can manage independently.
- App Settings: your preferences (image format, quality, etc.) are stored locally on your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the app.
- Crash Logs: crash reports and diagnostics are retained according to Firebase Crashlytics default retention policies (typically up to 90 days) for service improvement purposes.
- Advertising Data: advertising identifiers and related data are managed by Google AdMob according to their privacy policy.
- Deletion requests: contact gunnylove@gmail.com and we will assist with any data deletion requests.
5. Your Rights
- You can use the app without providing any personal information. All video processing is done locally on your device.
- You have full control over which videos you select and which frames you save. The app only accesses videos and photos you explicitly choose.
- Opt out of personalized ads via system settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Limit Ad Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).
- Disable crash reporting by uninstalling the app (though this will also disable all app functionality).
- Request information about data we may have collected by contacting us at gunnylove@gmail.com.
6. Children
The App is intended for general use. We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by local law).
7. Security
We protect data with encrypted network connections (HTTPS), secure API endpoints, and industry-standard security practices. Your videos and extracted frames are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. Only advertising configuration settings are fetched from our server via secure HTTPS connections.
